Duties of Current Occupation

Customer service using card machines, handling cash and making their experience with horses as pleasant as possible. Teaching clients of all ages, leading rides out on the moor and on the beach; I also school young horses and help with the backing.

Equine Work Experience

I have ridden since I was 8, very confident with youngsters and 'problem' horses. I can walk, trot, canter and gallop confidently, lateral work is my favourite: I hunt and event when I have a horse ATM looking to buy a project. Can get references for this from bhs accredited professionals. I've worked on livery yards and riding centres including an RDA: here I learned valuable skills which has put me in great stead to be a meaningful member to any centre.

Specialities

Cattle work, I spend a lot of time on beef and dairy farms handling bullocks, heifers and calves. I have a strong interest in farming and horses. I have ridden since I was 8, very confident with youngsters and broodmares, I'm looking to gain experience with breeding to further my knowledge. I'm an extremely hard worker who loves to meet standards and strive. I work well in a team but I have always been praised on my leadership even though I am young, i'd be a great asset to any team.

Type of Ride Work

I have experience in many types of horses, through hunting, flat work and jumping. I'm confident to a certain extent but with the right training I believe I could go far as a work rider. I have broken in and produced 3 rescue ponies which I sold as kids hunting ponies. As a student, i take on board any advice and criticism well as i strive to please and better myself as a horsewoman.

Competition Details

I have mainly competed in BD when i was younger. I have groomed for friends and instructors to gain experience for stay away shows. I hunt with the South Durham hunt and Braes of Derwent.
