Equine Work Experience
- Responsible for daily care of thoroughbred horses, including foals, mares, stallions, yearlings, and spellers.
- Well versed in covering with stallions as well as teasing mares and bouncing.
- Lead and organise staff across four yards, maintaining high standards in grooming, paddock maintenance and yard cleaning, mucking out, and horse presentation/Showing for clients and owners.
- Experienced in foaling, with sole charge, being on call and covering for night watch.
- Knowledgeable when breaking yearlings, and preparing horses for sales and client consignments.
- Worked closely with vets, farriers, and upper management to ensure smooth operations, as well as listening to the needs of my team.
- Regularly involved in horse showings to the Royal Family and the public, including TV and Photo ops.
- Organised staff training and orientation for new members joining as well as training staff in new procedures or new equipment including changes in Health and Safety.
