The position is designed to teach the fundamentals of horse care and training through hands-on work experience. It is essential that the student have a strong work-ethic, good time management skills, and a keen interest in learning.
Ground staff required casual hours. Monday - Friday 7am -1pm Some afternoons and rostered weekends Must have previous experience in racing stables or competition yard. O'Farrell Racing is a small Thoroughbred Breaking and Pre Training facility located on the Bellarine Peninsula. We offer a competitive starting salary, dependent on level of experience and in line with Greyhound and racing award rate. If you are successful, you will leave with a fantastic reference and letter of recommendation in addition to gaining an invaluable amount of experience. What will you gain? Exactly what you put in. We love to work with students who can use this internship for college credit too, but that is not mandatory.
