I have my BHS Levels 1 and 2. Both in ridden and care.

To look after horses to a high standard. To see to the daily upkeep of horses and ponies and keep a close eye on their welfare. To groom to a high standard. To follow nutritionist advice and make sure all equines are fed to their own requirements

I have worked in numerous different equine establishments from the age of 13, and have gained a wealth of experience within these different places. I studied my BHS Levels 1 and 2, at Trent Park Equestrian Centre in London and my equine career started from there. I have worked in riding schools teaching novice/beginners to intermediate clients working on lateral ground work.
I have also worked seasonally in Polo, but this was mainly exercise riding in sets of 5. I worked briefly in a National Hunt Racing yard where I was responsible for 5 Thoroughbreds, including daily work riding, and general yard duties. I am confident bandaging and turning out to a high standard..(although I will admit I do need to work on plaiting) I am confident handling youngstock and Stallions and very fit hunt horses.

I wish to further my skills and become fully qualified so I can progress in my long term career.

Teaching and interacting with Children of all different ages and backgrounds, vulnerable children and adolescents, some with learning difficulties and behavioural issues.

Daily care and upkeep of all horses, ponies, stallions, fillys, Colts, mares and geldings.

Breaking/Re-backing/and bringing on. Reschooling of Racehorses. (ROR)

I am confident with flatwork/groundwork and also jumping to around 1.20m.

I am confident riding racehorses and am willing to ride any horse/pony if it is deemed safe to do so for equine.

I would say I am a better rider riding on the flat, but I am willing to improve my jumping skills and test my ability to push my limits.

I have only participated in local shows, But have accompanied other riders as a private groom to bigger shows such as Royal Windsor-London.
