Equine Work Experience
No previous professional experience.
Previously volunteered weekends helping at my local stables where I would prep horses for lessons (tack and untack after), turn out and bring them in. Feeds, mucking out, brushing, picking feet.
Helping fit hats and protectors for riders and on occasion assist in lessons (leading horses for younger riders).
I have also had shared ownership of a horse, with access on weekday evenings and full days on weekends. During this time I would also turn out/bring in, feed both my horse and the owners second pony. As well as school rides and hacks.
Very hard worker and quick study.
Happy, outgoing and great with people.
I take great pride in my work and want to ensure that I’ve done the best possible job and the animals are under good care.
General riding experience and yard work and a love for the outdoors and horses.
Customer service experience and previous office work, I work well within a team and like to be organised.
Type of Ride Work
Most of my ride experience was within lessons within the school, some jump work and hacking.
During my shared ownership I helped jump train my horse in his initial introduction to jumps.
He was fairly young and excitable so needed care and confidence to keep him focused during lessons and training.
I was also able to train independently during this time and format my own lessons with the horse.
