Qualifications
I completed a level 2 qualification in racehorse care from haddon training
Duties of Current Occupation
In my current role I ride 5-6 racehorses each morning preparing them for racing. This includes washing off and grooming, maintaining tack and equipment, general horse welfare.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding horses since the age of 5 gaining me a total of 20 years’ experience, having been working with them since age 16 where I helped out on a small hunting yard before progressing to work in stud farms, showjumping yards and racing yards.
Specialities
I have worked on a stud farm where I dealt with brood mates, foals and stallions. I have also worked in 3 different racing yards over the past 7 years. I have taken horses to the races many times and have won turnout on a number of occasions.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden a variety of horses ranging from riding school ponies to 2year old racehorses, I have schooled racehorses as well as doing fast work. I also have a lot of experience in jumping, hacking, dressage and I have been hunting a handful of times.
Competition Details
I have worked in a couple of showjumping yards as well as the stud farm I worked at which had competitive dressage horses.
