I own my own horse, and due to him suffering from narcolepsy it means I have an amazing ability to adapt around a situation and overcome certain problems, which others may have never experienced.
I have been volunteering at The Sanctuary for roughly three years now, which involves the care of their equines (a couple of which suffer from laminitis), and their other livestock.
A few years ago I also used to help out on a Saturday at my local stables. I would also have pony club lessons, learning the basics of topics like; poisonous plants and horse anatomy. I would also be responsible for lead reining all ages from 4, while I did so my local stables was in the midst of becoming and RDA approved stable.
Type of Ride Work
I was at intermediate level but in recent years I have not been able to ride as much due to schoolwork. I am currently working myself up to that level again with my horse. I would in no way class myself as beginner as I am confident in all paces and am able to jump at a low level, I am also confident in hacking.
