When I was younger my grandad would care for me in the summer and as he knew it was a big passion of mine to learn to ride he started taking me down to the local stables.

I remember the first time he took me down, he said we were only going for a drive out and then a walk, we started approaching the stables and I was amazed at all the beautiful horses! I just assumed we would walk around looking at them as we often did find trails with horses alongside, he started walking in and said he had booked a trek for his grandaughter.

I was jumping about the place in excitement and couldn't believe it, we came back another couple of times that summer and the lady asked if I would like to muck out the stables for some free riding lessons in return. I was so grateful for her offer and found my grandad dropping me off nearly every day the following summer, I was so sad the stables were so far from my mothers house as I knew I would have carried helping out.
