Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management (DDM) BHS ride safe BHS stage 1

I have experience working as a riding instructor as well as a groom on a competition and livery yard. Responsibilities for said jobs include being able to ride a variety of horses at different levels, general well being, yard cleanliness and more.

I've been riding for 10 years, 8 of which I've had my own loan horses- some being easier than others, however this experience has taught me to listen to each horse as an individual so that their needs are met as well as being adaptable as a horse person and rider. I also have experience with short and long term injuries and rehabilitation. I completed my Equine Management Diploma in 2023, and I am not in my 2nd year of my degree in Equine Behaviour, Health, and Welfare at NTU

I've worked with horses with many different sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds, and I'm calm and confident when doing so. I've previously worked with Exmoor and Welsh ponies who may be small but are definitely mighty! Having worked as a riding instructor I consider myself to be a people person- I also had the responsibility of looking after groups of both people and horses at the same time, as well as having of experience instructing those with additional needs.

I've competed unaffiliated at dressage, show-jumping, and showing, as well as partaking in BUCS competitions at NTU.

I have previously worked at a showing yard and thoroughly enjoyed it- this experience taught me valuable skills such as efficient horse preparation, yard organisation and cleanliness, plaiting, and handling medication.
