Duties of Current Occupation

Taking sole charge of the yard on a daily basis. Ensuring all horses are turned out to a high standard. Exercises all horses (Lungeing, hacking, schooling or riding and leading). Administering any necessary medication/ changing feed as required.

Equine Work Experience
  • BHS Stages 1-3 Ride, care and lunge.
  • BHS Ride Safe.
  • Handling nervous rescue horse and fit competition horses.
  • College included yard work (mucking out, general tidiness of the yard), riding, handling (ground work (i.e Parelli, lungeing, long reining), treating common ailments.
  • Rescue centre - handling nervous horses/ponies, administering any medication/treatments required, restraining horses for the vet.
  • Sports scholarship with the university riding team.
  • Turning out to a high standard.
  • experience working on a small professional dressage yard (handling a variety of horses from foals and yearlings to competition horses, including riding - from breaking in to riding the advanced horses) and I worked there for two and a half years Currently working with the army horses where duties involve day to day care, checking big herds of horses and turning horses out to a high standard
