Providing excellent customer service wether it be behind the bar, serving food or even helping out in the kitchen. Also includes cleaning duties and general husbandry such as recording stock take, wastage ect
I myself have worked at two yards. One was voluntary and was really so that I could gather more of an understanding of what working at a busy riding school would feel like. As this was a BHS approved yard I took advantage and studied for my exams which I had successfully be awarded (stages1-2) . I then worked for a competition/ riding school which helped me focus more on how to communicate better with horses as well as sharpen up my riding skills. As this yard was with the ABRS I choose to also do stages 1-2 and also undertook a riding a road safety exam. I also had duties when I got to university which was a different experience in itself, just being thrown into the deep end. If you wish to read more about my experiences in detail, the can be located in my CV.
Although I do not have a BGA CV, I do have my own cv with my years of experience as well as information on my degree which mainly focused on the sport science of both horse and rider in many different cases i.e. racing, rehabilitation, eventing, dressage, SJ and polo.
Mainly flat work but am quite happy to jump. I find flat work is very important when it comes to really listening to your horse and when it comes to your horse listening to you
Have not competed in the past two year due down to recovering from a car accident. Another competition attended before were more than like a BEDE Unaffiliated dressage event that I participated in during university
