Equine Work Experience
Experience- I worked on a livery yard starting when I was 12- 16, stabling 60+ horses as a yard hand which has given me a wide range of horse care experience, to include mucking out horses, bringing in and turning out horses from little Shetlands to fit cci** event horses, caring for injured horses and/or horses with specific requirements. I was also left sole charge when the owners were out competing. I have competed 2 fit event horses at British eventing level for the owner of the yard, Mr and Mrs walker, along with my own and a couple of ladies horses. Getting regionals for badminton international horse trials, qualifying for the British event arena eventing at Osberton internationals. Besides eventing I have hunted from a young age with Grove and Rufford, done team chases at Pychley, therefore I can turn out and ride to a high standard.
Specialities
From working on the competition yard it has enabled me to develop personal qualities such as working independently, working in a time pressured environment, having confidence when communicating with owners, working to a high level. I am reliable, trust worthy and a very hard worker, I am willing to learn. I am also a good person to work with, with a good personality. i work well under pressure and fast in situations where and when needed, i work efficiently and throughly.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden youngsters, horses with quirks I feel like I adapt to how the horse should be ridden as I have had a few different horses all my life all horses don't ride the same so I've had to change my ride to suit the horses. i can hack, build fitness up in the correct way, compete, school, gymnastic schooling, show jumping and cross county. i have also sold horses for people. looked after injured horses.
