Key Skills Mucking out stables to a high standard and deep cleaning where needed. Exercise a wide variety of horses on a regular basis, top eventers, young horses, ponies, liveries and green horses. This was mainly hacking, canter work and schooling. Administer medicated for horses that need it. Assist vets in handling the horses for different purposes. Go out to events, get the horse/horses tacked up and ready (studs, cleaning tack) Prepare the horses for events, bathing, trimming and clipping if needed. Having sole charge of the yard when others where away. Keeping the yard tidy.

Type of Ride Work

During my time working at the event yard I would ride the event horses for fitness work, hacking, cross country schooling and flat work in the school. During the hunting season I also rode a clients young horse, ponies and some of the liveries horses. Since owning my own and previous loans I have done a variety of things, hacking, cross county school up to 90cm, jumping in the school 95cm, flat work schooling up to prelim.
