Equine Work Experience

I'm an event rider, coach and sports psychologist. I've spent the last decade coaching and riding. Although the vast majority of that has been spent as a freelance work rider in racing I have also produced horses up to intermediate level and am currently riding (but not competing) at BD Medium, BE Novice and SJ around 125-130. I have a BSc. with full honours in Equine Sports Science, a PGDipPsych in Sports Psychology and 16 years industry experience. I've worked with backers and breakers all the way through the levels and enjoy producing young horses but can apply myself to any level. I'm a quiet but firm rider and would rather work with the horse and build partnerships than against them. I also have a strong marketing background.

Please feel free to ask any questions, or drop me a message for further details and videos.

Specialities

Expertise in training and developing horses emphasising a comprehensive understanding of horse behaviour and training techniques. I have a proven track record of successfully addressing and resolving various behavioural issues in horses through a patient and holistic approach. I also specialise in rider confidence building, I'm skilled at helping riders overcome their anxieties and fears, fostering a positive and empowering learning environment.

Competition Details

British Eventing - We've not had the greatest season on paper but it's been educational for both me and the horse that I'm currently riding. With an exciting new ride in the pipeline and my second ride rehabbing over the winter next season looks to be one worth watching!
