I have 10 GCSEs including a 6 in Biology and a 5 in English Language, English Literature and Mathematics. I studied Psychology, Physical Education and Medical Science at A levels. I have also completed an Equine Health & Safety course and an Equine Psychology course through Equine Distance Learning. I am currently completing a degree in equine management.

I am currently in my second year of an Equine Management degree at University Centre Myerscough. I have my own horse who is a 7 year old, 16.2 hh, chestnut mare.

I have ridden horses since I was 6 years old, I volunteered and rode at a riding school for 11 years. During this time I volunteered at a riding for the disabled yard and an ex-racehorse rehabilitation yard. I have also previously loaned 3 ponies and I have currently owned my own horse for nearly 4 years. I have previously worked on my old livery yard. Whilst there I worked directly with the yard manager. Currently, I am doing a degree in equine management.

I have worked as part of a team on multiple occasions and have always tried to help others as much as I can. I have had to allocate yard jobs and help decide which horses should be used for lessons and hacks. Personally, I think I am efficient and tidy, I like to keep the yard clean and turned out to a high standard.

I have ridden many different types of horses. Problem horses are my favourites. My own horse was 4 when I got her and had very little experience in the school. I have rehabbed her three times & we are hoping to start competing in the summer. I enjoy jumping and would like to do eventing/show jumping in the future. I have taken part in some low level hunts with my riding school in the past.

I have previously competed at and been involved in many gymkhanas throughout the 11 years I spent at my local riding school. I have also taken part in multiple pony camps, where I have taken my own loan pony and horse. During my time at the riding school I also volunteered at many pony for the days and helped look after the children who had come for the day. We regularly had to supervise groups of children alone.
