Equine Work Experience
I have been around horses since the age of 1, rode both family horses, my loan horse, and at a riding school from age 3 onward. Competed for university riding team, placed at every competition and had 3 consecutive seasons clear SJ. I’m currently working with ex-racehorses a few days a week doing all yard duties. I have a huge passion for Eventing, but just haven’t been fortunate enough to have the time for my own horse to event due to University commitments. I’m looking into buying a horse next year to event, and I believe the right job opportunity could not only make me happy about going to work, but also be a very useful education before starting my eventing career
Specialities
I have been in a stable and working farm environment since birth so understand how important every daily requirement is to maintain the running of the yard. I am very reliable, hard-working and honest, and I am always very keen to learn. I’m experienced with all types of horses ranging from riding school to competition, and in-work racehorses. I will very happily work with and ride any.
Type of Ride Work
Happy to ride flat and jump. My flat work is a good level and I’m a very quiet rider. I confidently jump 1m10 but I will certainly improve as I go. I have attended XC clinics on my ex-loan horse and was in my element. I am currently exercising ex-racehorses in my hometown
Competition Details
I have low competition mileage due to my education commitments and not coming from an immediate horsey family. In spite of this, I have taken every possible opportunity to use other people’s horses to compete at Riding Club, and University at around BE90 level. My long-term goal is to Event professionally, but I will thrive in a groom’s position in a competition environment. I have excellent organisation, communication and am always very tidy, which has never gone unnoticed
