Qualifications
I have a 2:1 degree from the University of Lincoln in Architecture.
Equine Work Experience
I have volunteered with my local riding school since I was a young child, where I learnt to ride, but also learnt all other areas of horsemanship, from plaiting to first aid. During my time studying at university, I was a member of the Equestrian Society Committee, where I organised lessons for all 40+ members. I have ridden and handled a large range of horses, including having part loan/shares and a long term full loan. My full loan was a 21 year old ex race TB, who could be difficult to ride and handle. Due to his age, I also have experience working with horses with medical issues, and have worked with his physio to keep him sound and fit, despite him having arthritis and other age related issues.
Specialities
Experienced equestrian who has been around horses all of my life. I am looking for a part time job while studying my Masters of Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. I am a dedicated and efficient worker, who is always willing to learn new skills and take on challenges.
Type of Ride Work
I have experience with dressage and show jumping, in addition to some experience with cross country. I am an experienced rider of complicated horses and am confident to get on any type of horse. I have ridden many different horses, of varying breeds and temperaments, with a personal preference for TBs and warmbloods. I am looking to work either as a groom or for ridden work to exercise horses.
Competition Details
I have experience riding a variety of horses in local, low level competitions. These have included show jumping and dressage. I have also taken my full loan horse to pleasure and endurance rides. While studying at Lincoln, I have ridden in many competitions with the university, often in friendlies against other nearby universities.
