Qualifications

I have 10 GCSE's - Including an A in PE after a riding assessment. I don't have any further qualifications but I'm a well rounded individual who's well travelled & gained experience in lots of different work environments. I would be willing to do any extra training and take exams to further my career within the equestrian sector.

Duties of Current Occupation

I have worked on a farm with 100 polo ponies, my responsibilities were all everyday tasks including riding. I have worked on a small polo yard in the uk, responsible for exercising and all jobs for around 20 horses.

Equine Work Experience

I grew up with horses and have been in the saddle since I can remember. I had my own horse growing up and we enjoyed hacking, jumping and a little bit of competing but sadly sold her when I was 18. When I was 20 I worked on a polo yard/sheep & cattle farm in Australia. Between me and 2 other grooms our duties were to exercise & take good care of over 60 polo ponies and get them ready for a busy polo season. I was promoted to head groom to oversee everything and delegate without supervision. After the polo season started we were constantly on the road for 8 weeks moving to different competition grounds where it was my responsibility to make sure all the horses were healthy, happy, fit & well-fed. And of course match-ready whenever the time came. After the season finished and the horses were turned out, I helped out with early training and backing of young horses. I absolutely loved the time I spent working here so when I came back to the UK I spent some time working on a small polo yard

Specialities

I have been riding all my life and I'm a very confident rider but have sadly been out of the saddle for a year or so and I can't wait to get back into it. I've worked on a large polo yard in Australia and helped breaking and backing young horse and absolutely loved it & I also worked on a small polo yard in the UK responsible for all daily tasks for around 20 polo ponies.

Type of Ride Work

I like hacking, jumping, schooling & competing in low key SJ and Cross-Country competitions. My favourite is hacking out across open spaces, and I love sponsored rides. In a work environment I am confident doing sets on tricky horses whilst leading 2 or 3.

Competition Details

I have never been a big competitor but I used to enjoy taking part in local shows and cross-country events. My favourite outings are sponsored & endurance rides.
