Duties of Current Occupation

exercising (trekking guide, schooling, hacking, long reining, lunging - both with line and free), cleaning tack, clipping, handling young stock, general yard duties

Equine Work Experience

I learnt to ride at 8 years old, owned my own horse up until the age of 18 and have enjoyed a number of part-shares since. I took a career break to be a groom for a summer in my twenties, working at 2 different yards - polo and livery, and eventing, then returned to office work. In 2019 I quit desk life and started at a 6* private yard just outside London, working with a variety of ponies and horses (all types including new forest, welsh, connemara, arab, spanish and warm bloods). Duties had to be performed to a very high standard and included mucking out, grooming, exercising, tack cleaning, clipping and field maintenance. Since then I have been travelling the UK and Europe, working in the Sierra Nevada mountains (Spain), the Cotswolds, the Welsh borders and the Malvern Hills.
