Qualifications
I was awarded the British Eventing youth volunteer of the year award in 2019 and have recently been awarded my Pony Club C+ test. I finished school with all A’s in Maths, Mechanics and Physics and have a place at Bath university to study Design Engineering in September. I hope that working with horses and in a yard or family environment will broaden my experiences and knowledge.
Duties of Current Occupation
I am looking for work with horses, happy to muck out, train, hack, clip etc. Also open to house sitting or a nanny position. Fluent in English and basic French and very capable with horses.
Equine Work Experience
I represented GB for Equestrian Vaulting, travelling to Saumur, Pezinok and Belgium. Laterally, i have competed up to 100 level at British Eventing and i am training at Novice level. I am highly confident both on the ground and with the training of horses. I have trained up to Medium level dressage, and have a good ability across all 3 eventing phases. I am dedicated towards equine care and have looked after horses all of my life, with lots of experience of yard work.
Specialities
I have lived on a small scottish farm and been brought up with horses my whole life. I am confident and outgoing and very keen to improve my language skills and gain experience for 6 months before university. I have been part of pony club and British Eventing since a young age, helping less confident riders and children. I have sat my pony club stable management and riding tests with the prospect of sitting my BHS exams this year.
Type of Ride Work
Out with eventing i compete at local showjumping and dressage competitions. Or otherwise helping at competitions when i am not riding. I would be keen to train and to ride out as much as possible, also very happy to muck-out, tack up, clip, plait etc.
Competition Details
I have competed my own horse up to BE 100 level, winning the U18 class at Burgie Horse Trials in September last year. I competed in the Scottish BE100 Championships in August and trained up to Novice level. Whilst doing Equestrian Vaulting, I was selected for the British team and competed both nationally and internationally. I am also keen on other sports such as hockey, athletics and tennis, and played for Dollar’s 1st 11 hockey team.
