I have extensive hands-on equine experience through both personal horse ownership and professional yard work. I currently own two horses, one of which I have owned for 10 years and another for 3 years. My horses are nearly 16 and nearly 4 years old, giving me experience with horses at very different life and training stages, from young horse development through to the ongoing care and management of older horses. Through ownership, I have developed strong knowledge of daily horse care and management, including feeding, grooming, mucking out, turnout, exercising, handling, tack fitting, monitoring health and wellbeing, and liaising with farriers, dentists and veterinary professionals. I am confident handling horses independently and maintaining high welfare standards at all times. Alongside caring for my own horses, I regularly assist other owners on the livery yard with general yard duties and horse care.
