I grew up around horses, having ridden and been fully involved in their care from an early age. I learned thorough stable management practice as a stablehand at my family’s prep school. This included feeding, horse care, basic equine first aid (bandaging, poultice, wound care, icing etc), and turning out to a high standard for competition and hunting.

I had my own horses until I went to university, and was a member of the Pony Club during my teenage years, where I took part in rallies, camps, and competed in eventing and showjumping at Area level for my branch. I have also hunted and helped groom & look after horses out team chasing.
