City & Guilds Level 3 extended diploma in horse management at Northop College. I achieved the diploma with an overall top grade of distinction. I have passed modules with merit and distinction grades including plaiting and presentation, bandaging, feeding, using different types of tack and training aids, riding on the flat, jumping, lungeing, long reining and equestrian teaching. I also have my full BHS Stage 1 and 2 qualifications, which I completed whilst I was in college.

I have been involved and ridden since a very young age starting riding lessons aged 4 and owning my own horse as a child and recently until my mare passed away in 2019. During my level 3 horse management diploma I undertook numerous different work experience placements at different yards. I went to a riding and trekking centre where I helped in taking out rides and treks for a variety of riders of different abilities. This work involved children and adults. This role also included grooming and preparing horses for rides and bringing horses in and turning them out. I also undertook experience on a lusitano stud and classical dressage riding centre where I had duties of mucking out, grooming, turning out, bringing in, exercising, bathing, lungeing etc. I also had a placement at a riding school, this involved similar duties of mucking out, turn out/bring in, grooming, tack cleaning, yard maintenance and customer service.

I have ridden all different kinds of horses and I enjoy flatwork and jumping. I particularly enjoy showjumping and cross country and I have taken my own horse and my friends horses jumping many times.
