I have completed an equine grooms apprenticeship at both levels 1 & 2 and have completed various BHS qualifications including the Progressive Riding Test, Ride & Road Safety, Stable Management & Riding School Assistant.

I care for people's horses, dogs and other small animals (e.g. cats, rabbits & guinea pigs) while they are out at work or away on holiday.

I have worked at 3 different yards. These have been a livery yard which I worked at for 2.5 years, a BHS trekking centre which I worked at (also for about 2.5 years) and an RDA centre which I worked at for about a year and a half. At these yards I have completed a number of qualifications including a Level 1 Equine Grooms NVQ apprenticeship, Level 2 Equine Grooms NVQ apprenticeship and various BHS qualifications.

I am a reliable, friendly member of staff and enjoy working both as part of a team and independently. I enjoy learning new skills as well as building up more confidence with the tasks I have already gained some experience in. I have had experience working with horses of all different heights from a Shetland right up to around 18'hh. Most of the horses I have worked with have been riding school ponies and RDA ponies however I have also worked with horses on a livery yard too.

I have completed various BHS reiding qualifications including the BHS Ride & Road Safety qualification and the Progressive Riding Test (Tests 1 & 2). I have also had lots of experience at hacking due to having worked at a trekking centre in the past. I am confident in walk and trot both in the school and out hacking however would like to get more experience at canter due to losing confidence after a bad fall a couple of years ago.

I have not done any ridden competitions however I have taken part in a couple of in hand competitions at 2 different yards where I came 4th with one pony and 8th with another horse.
