Equine Work Experience
Hi I’m looking for a position with accommodation for our family in Shropshire. I’m married and my husband has his children on weekends. We are a very happy family with absolutely no dramas, my husband has always had a secure job and works hard for us he’s quite the handy man to have around and also has his HGV license.
I currently run my own sheath cleaning business and I work 1 day a week traveling all around England. I’d be happy to work for free in return for accommodation I’m more than happy to pay the bills.
I have my own horse he’s a 5yo Belgium warmblood that I’ve backed and produced myself up to discovery I’m currently competing him every week in the hopes to step up to newcomers in the near future. We have two dogs a dachshund cross and a Labrador. I have a 9 year old step daughter I taught her to ride 5 years ago, and she has successfully done a lot of ridden and In-hand showing and a son who is 12 years old who likes to sit on his PlayStation all day!
Specialities
I have been a on off live-in showjumping groom for over 10 years. I have worked hard over the years and made my way up from a stable girl to a competition rider / show groom sole charge manager.
I have worked on busy dealing yards riding all sorts of horses, regularly hunting, jumping, xc, eventing ect. I get the clients rolling in and the horses sold taking charge of most sales and viewings.
I have a passport so can travel if needed.
Type of Ride Work
Nanny/ house keeper / head girl I worked at a hunt yard I started the position Solely just looking after the horses this turned into housekeeping and looking after two children, I would cook home made meals & clean duties mop, Hoover, iron and tidy up, polish etc daily around working six horses, mucking out, feeding all the puppies school runs ect.
Competition Details
I have worked in many Competition yards and have always competed employers horses and had the chance to take my own to shows.
I’ve done some ridden showing and I really enjoy workers classes.
I used to work on a higher end riding school and the pony’s would take part in camps and child’s hunting days, I would have to turn out 20+ pony’s ready for the days hunt as most of the children couldn’t plait.
