Qualifications

Completing L5 Equine Nutrition Course at TOCES. All Stud/Yard based learning for 40+ years. Trained under Sir Charles Clore Stallion Man.

Duties of Current Occupation

Raised on a horse farm for ex army horses, retired police horses and pit ponies for 24 years. RSPCA Groom. Welsh Stud Groom. Part time Public Throughbred Stud Groom. Work/Rider South Africa. Ran a livery business in South Africa for 5 years.

Equine Work Experience

I lived and worked at The Wyndham Cottle and RSPCA horse farm for 24years in Buckinghamshire. Dealing with retired army and police horses. We also received all the pit ponies once the mines closed. We received many cruelty cases, dealing with a variety of ailments from worm infestations to malnutrition and behavioural issues. I have worked on several Stud Farms afterwards, which consisted of all Equine husbandry. I have worked at an Eventing yard in Cambridgeshire for a years sabbatical in 2002. I have worked with Hunters for the Season, all yard duties, hacking and turnout. I have been a stud hand at The Elms Stud in Northamptonshire. I have managed and worked at a Welsh Stud in Buckinghamshire as a weekend staff. I have had my own horses for the majority of my life here in England and South Africa. Confident and competent with dealing with all types of equines. 5* standard towards all yard duties and equine care.

Stallion handling, especially ponies. Trained by Sir Charles Clore Stallion Stud man at Stype Stud. Thoroughbred Mares and Foal experience. Welsh Mares and Foal handling. Coverings and AI experience. Experience with severe cruelty cases. Freelance Groom for HOY South Africa. Ran a small yard of 3 horses and 1 Staff. Horse walkers and Equine Hydrotherapy experience. Confident with towing, happy to take HGV license if needed.
