I have previously worked in France where I was responsible for 22 horses. I am used to working long days as the job involved getting up early to bring the horses in and working throughout the evening serving dinner to the guests. Whilst working here I gained some experience in working with newborn foals and young horses who were being introduced to work. I am currently the Captain of the polo team for my university and have been for the past two years. This has enabled me to pick up key skills such as bandaging and helping get horses ready for chukkas. Over the summer, I worked at a small, privately owned yard exercising an eventer and ex-racehorse. I was in charge of the day-to-day running of the yard and worked as a groom when the owner went to competitions. I was also left to look after the yard when the owners went on holiday and have been repeatedly asked to come back when they are away.

I have previous experience leading a team on large yards and for privately owned individual yards. I have picked up many useful skills such as mucking out to a high standard and maintaining a clean yard. I also have great people skills as I have previously worked with children and adults.

Used to do a lot of jumping work before I started university. Since joining university I have been playing polo for the past three years. Also have previous experience in flatwork.
