BTEC diploma in level 2 animal care.

I have family who have had horses for years. First introduced to the horses at 6 years of age, I helped look after them every fortnight for around 10 years until my family member moved further away.

I can muck out, turn horses out and bring them back in, and brush them. I have also cleaned tack before using warm soap and water.

I can work on my feet for hours and am comfortable working outside in all weathers.

I am aware of what horses eat for example they eat hay and grass for fibre, and that they tend to graze throughout the day. Also I know it is important that horses have constant access to clean water as it helps reduce colic and they tend drink large amounts.

I am organised and will work hard to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard.
