I don’t have any equine related qualifications. I do have 7 GCSE’s, an NVQ Level 2, work related travel qualifications and I am currently finishing my second year at University studying Tourism Management. I start my final year (Level 6) in September and finish next April, usually only 2-3 days a week.
I have previously owned my own ex racehorse, a thoroughbred, thoroughbred x Irish draught. I currently own an ex racer, who is on box rest due to a tendon injury.
When I was younger I worked at a National Hunt racing yard, mainly general yard duties.
My specialty is retraining ex racehorses.
I haven’t ridden competitively, however I have my own experience - schooling, hacking, local shows, fun rides, etc.
I am competent and looking to learn new skills. I would love to eventually show my horse in ROR classes, so would love to learn new skills from yourselves!
I work from my own initiative, complete tasks fully, I am friendly, approachable and a hard working team member. I do have common sense, which is a given when working with thoroughbreds and event horses!
