Mucking out, Grooming, Changing rugs, Feeding, Field checks, groom at carriage driving competitions

I’ve grown up with horses my entire life, beginning with wild welsh ponies before moving to sports horses. I currently work on a yard of 9 horses, 5 of these being shetlands (harder work than you’d think!). I regularly attend clinics on my young cob that i’m producing myself, don’t let the ‘cob’ part fool you… i’ve ridden much steadier thoroughbreds!

Turned out to a high standard at carriage driving competitions, owned foals, experience with a variety of horses from cobs to tbs

I have experience with ex racers, but only hacking and schooling with them. I’m confident jumping around 70cm currently but would definitely be happier to go bigger on a capable horse. I’ve never hunted but i’m no stranger to a solid fence, I love going xc schooling. Although I may not have the best variety of experience riding, I’m very willing to learn and expand this.

I’ve worked as a competition groom at carriage driving events, where I am expected to groom, tack up, plait and lead the ponies before a competition, then untack, feed, offer water, sponge off and load back into the lorry afterwards.
