Equine Work Experience

I have worked on a range of different yards in order to gain experience in different sectors of the equine world. I have experience of working for top level dressage riders and also a 4*/5* event rider, hunt yards and dealt with the pressures of working on a riding school from a young age so I could always fuel my passion for horses. I have worked with youngsters from being young foals to learning about the breaking in process and how each individual is different in the methods that they may use. I have dealt with all kinds of horses from small cheeky kids ponies too large hunt horses at their peak fitness and I’m not phased. I’ve previously taught some ground work with horses As I do believe groundwork is very important to be well established and to know and understand boundaries. I have also started a ponies ridden career with the basics in order to be sold on and produced more by a younger rider.

Specialities

I have a very good eye for spotting abnormalities and finer details. I’m happy working weekends if needed. I don’t panic when under pressure. I have a very logical mindset and will always work methodically in the way I do set jobs to ensure they are done to the best standard and have the best outcome. I am very understanding of each individual horse. I am also not phased by late nights or early mornings when it’s needed. I also have experience driving tractors in the past due to some farm work

Type of Ride Work

I’m happy to ride when needed. My strongest is my flat work when schooling. However I can still jump if needed. I’m used to dealing with spooky horses out hacking due to having my own horse in the past who could only hack and was very spooky he definitely taught me a lot! I am very patient and Not heavy handed when riding I am a quiet rider however I can change when I feel it is needed to drive the horse to meet its best potential.
