Equine Work Experience
Have been riding since I was a baby, my whole family is horsey, we travelled with as extra staff woth my mum for her work (freelance groom/ instructor) due to this we have always been around horses and or working with them, this opened opportunities for me sit in on lessons, ride for other people, and just the chance to sit and watch how the horses go.
This meant I got to ride lots of different horses, from re-schoolers to school masters.
I have travelled as a groom and also competed horses for people
Specialities
I have worked in: Riding schools Where I have helped in lessons, on pony days, ridden livery horses, hacked riding school horse, mucked out, bought in, and other general yard duties, have also shut and finished the yard down for the night. Have mucked for race yards, eventing yard also some freelance. I have sole charge of a private event yard of 5 horses, in which I rode, groomed and maintained the yard.
I have also hunted, flat and jump with local hunts to me
Type of Ride Work
Have had a lot of experience in green horses, 'problem' horses, and have reschooled ex-racers, have experience in breaking and riding away.
Had my own freshly backed 4yr old that I aimed for Pony trials and unfortunately he gained an abcess just before I got to my first one.
