Bio
Happy, hardworking, experienced groom looking for a position for May and June 2026. I’ve predominantly been working in Polo for the last 7 years but have previously worked on professional eventing and showjumping yards, so open to anything!Duties of Current Occupation
I have many polo seasons under my belt across the uk, Australia and New Zealand, and previously worked on a professional eventing yard. Confident carrying out all yard duties, and handling fit competition horses.
Equine Work Experience
I’ve completed polo seasons across all levels, including several seasons in UK high goal. Happy carrying out all yard duties, exercise sets, clipping, bandaging, rugging, tacking up/ prepping/ washing off etc at games and chukkas in a very fast paced game situation. Experienced liaising with vets, farrier, nutritionist, truck drivers etc. and generally keeping the ponies happy and healthy! Previously to this, I have experience as both a home and competition groom for a professional event rider. I've also worked with younger horses, getting them used to being handled, tacked up, bandaged etc, and assisted with breeding and foal handling. I spent almost a year as an assistant to an equine sports vet which I found super interesting, and I gained valuable experience and knowledge regarding lameness and injury.
Type of Ride Work
I am confident working horses for polo, taking sets of up to 5 ponies. I have played a little bit for fun on some lovely ponies in my current role. It's been a while since i've done much riding outside of the Polo style so i'm a bit out of practice schooling for flatwork/jump etc but it's something i'd love to get back into and learn!
