- I'm likely looking for the impossible! Would like a professional eventing base where I can bring and continue to develop my horses, with the opportunity to compete other rides in eventing, with the money I would need to continue to run my horses.
Qualifications
BSJA UKCC Level 2 First Aider Safeguarding children certificate BVSc Veterinary Science HGV license
UK Coaching Certificates
Level 2
Duties of Current Occupation
Currently responsible for yard of 24 horses from foals to 4 star eventers. I am responsible for every aspect of their care. Working part time as a vet to help fund running my horses. Would like to be in a situation to ride full time.
Equine Work Experience
Worked on professional Eventing yards since the age of 14, learnt to complete all tasks with the highest attention to detail. Also bred and produced my own horse to advanced level. Also produced horses in pure dressage up to advanced medium. Currently 5 homebred horses at various ages and levels.
Specialities
Trained as a veterinary surgeon Run all aspects of a competition yard to a very high standard Constantly strive to improve my horsemanship on the ground and on board Good work ethic - if I haven't made it I haven't worked hard enough yet!
Type of Ride Work
Produced horses from foals to advanced eventers. Tend to end up with the talented but very quirky rides due to my determination, work ethic and attention to detail. Every horse is an individual and must be managed accordingly to reach their potential. I also find I learn the most from these horses. Competed to Advanced level eventing. Training at PSG dressage on an ex-eventer of mine. As couldn't afford to buy a made horse I have been producing horses for the past 13 years.
Competition Details
Competed from young age in BE, including pony trials, with ponies found in fields that no one wanted. Selected to compete in Ireland. Since then been breaking and producing homebred horses in BD, BE and BSJA.
I have one horse at Advanced level which is a struggle as I rely on him as my only source of experience at higher level. My dream would be in a situation where I had the opportunity to compete more horses to gain more experience
