Level 3 Horse Management (Merit)

I am also looking to add more qualifications to my belt.

I have a life time of experience with horses as my parents have ran a successful livery yard for longer than I can remember. I did a weeks work experience with Emily Philp (Eventer) whilst at school and then continued to volunteer at her yard over the following summer.

I currently work at a busy riding school where I am required to teach clients from complete beginner to prelim. Other roles included with this job are:

• Client Interaction.
• All yard duties including turn out/bring in, mucking out, hay, feed preparation and administration, yard cleanliness and yard security.
• Team work.
• Understanding and carrying out instruction.
• Riding; schooling client horses, new school horses and sales horses and hacking out a range of different horses again at varying levels.
• Dealing with professionals such as the vet, farrier, saddle fitter, chiropractor and equine dentists whilst ensuring that they experience good organisation and efficiency.

I absolutely love a tidy yard and have proven to be quick but still efficient in general yard duties such as mucking out etc.

I have ridden a wide variety of horses as my parents own a large livery yard. I am often asked to ride for owners inc rehab, sales/purches green horses and more advanced. I backed my own horse who is now riding away nicely. I have assisted in backing and breaking at my current job and regularly hack and school the work horses.

Successfully competed local level dressage and showjumping. Am looking to make my way up the levels affiliated.
