Equine Work Experience
On my previous yard I had my own micro business offering livery services to the people on the yard. This included: mucking out, bringing in/turning out, poo picking, grooming, making feeds, filling haynets, putting rugs on/taking them off. I also had a maintenance job on a yard which included: spraying of fields, ragworting, harrowing the menage, fencing, painting and disinfecting stables, delivery of hay/straw.
When I was younger I used to have riding lessons before I had my own horse and I would work a day at the yard and have a lesson at the end of it. My daily work would include mucking out, bringing in/turning out and getting teh riding school ponies ready for their lessons. I also helped in group lessons leading the younger riders.
I have been around horses since I was little have rode a varity of different horses as I didn't have my own until I was 12. So I would help people with their jobs in return for a ride on their horse.
Specialities
My specialites are I am quick at doing day to day yard jobs and I am able to prioritise tasks within the yard environment. I am able to keep calm in stressy situations. I will always put the horses best interest/ welfare first. I am not scared of a challenge.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden lots of different types of horses. From riding school horses to very green horses and throughbreds.
