Equine Work Experience

I was a riding instructor within the military. My main job role within the military was a riding instructor. I became a BHS stage 3 instructor in 2013 and have taught a variety of disciplines since (including flatwork, jumping, SLR and one handed riding). I was the Squadron equitation instructor for the Lifeguard Squadron of the Household Cavalry and was charged with ensuring the daily exercise and maintenance of on average 90 horses. I was also in charge of the continuous training of other soldiers within the regiment. I now run my own business where I teach on a freelance basis, I also train/ school people’s horses. I offer a backing service and a clipping service. I was planning to open my own riding school but due to unforeseen circumstances that has changed. I currently operate as an accredited professional coach with the BHS so hold First aid qualifications, a current DBS and safeguarding certificate. I train a varied age group and a variety of abilities
