I started riding at the age of 8 at a local riding school. By the age of 14 I was working 1-3 days a week there helping out with all yard duties and assisting in children’s lessons. At 16 I got my own horse; a very green 5 yr old welsh D, and trained her up to competing by the time I left for university. Since then I have had equine handling sessions (I am studying veterinary medicine) and have undergone work experience at both a top level event yard and a large stud farm.
