I have done my level three with the British racing school in equine care and management. I have also completed my level 2 transport exam.

I have been responsible for travelling racehorses to their races and saddling for owners. I have also been in charge of running the hospital yard at Rossdales. That includes making feed orders, hay orders. Deciding where to put new patients.

I have experience with racehorses and all other types of horses of ages and sizes. I have held for vets, trotted up, wind tested and foal sat. The wind testing for the sales at Tattersalls was a great experience in which I learnt a lot about counting breaths and how they should line up with a horses striding.

I have worked with foals, colts, stallions and brood mates in foal. I have led a team of 6 people while in my role at Rossdales. I’m confident in stressful situations and can confidently take on extra work myself or delegate reasonably to team members. I have done foal sitting while at Rossdales which meant I was in charge of keeping close observations of poorly foals and mares. Coming from racing I have working with yearlings, two year olds and unhandled foals.

I have hunted, evented and done some showjumping and dressage. I have galloped racehorses upsides in pairs and threes. Most of my ridden experience is on thoroughbreds but I have ridden warm bloods.
