Level 3 Award in the principles transporting horses on Long journeys (Attendant/Driver)
Advanced Level apprenticeship in Horse care and Management.
Level 3 Diploma in work-based Horse Care and Management (Breeding).
Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Horse Care and Management (QCF)
Level 2 NVQ in Racehorse care.
Full UK driving licence (2010)

Duties of Current Occupation
looking after the day to day care of horses in my care, foaling, working alongside the vet, farrier and nutritionist, caring for and training young stock.
Equine Work Experience
My last job was as Assistant manager/stud groom at Strawberry Fields Stud. Alongside day-to-day care of the horses and grounds; I would work alongside the vet to organise routine vaccinations, health checks and microchipping, took sole-charge of sales at Tattersalls, worked with the farrier in managing plans for all horses on site and worked alongside the nutritionist to ensure all horses in my care had balanced diets. I am experienced with foaling and sitting up. I worked very closely with the foals and youngstock, implementing a routine that ensured they were well handled from a young age. In the office work I developed a system to track the worm counts, field movements and the worming routine in each horse, as well as making a system to record the height/weight of all youngstock to ensure they were developing correctly. Sole charge at sales and at yard when manager was away.
