Duties of Current Occupation

I have worked as a head groom for a small riding school as well as livery. I have recently worked in pre training and breaking of yearlings. Additionally I have also had the role of a yard groom at a horse hospital.

Equine Work Experience

I have worked full time for over 5 years within horse practice. I have been around horses for 11 years, I am able to maintain horse welfare at the upmost care providing stable duties to a high level of cleanliness and hygiene. I am able to exercise them through ridden work, lunging work, and jumping exercises. I am able to give first aid to a horse when needed, bandage correctly, put correct ppe on accordingly when taking care of different wounds/ dressings. I am confident to turn in/ our horses, rug change, maintain safety around working with horses. I have worked with yearlings, as well as fully grown racehorses so can correctly interact with the different age category.

Type of Ride Work

Ridden work I specialise in jump work, this however does need improvement but I can happily jump up to 95cm as a course, but am looking to improve further with the right education behind me.

Competition Details

I have competed locally, but have also competed in show jumping, cross country, and dressage. My main goal is to compete in one day events as well as 3 day events. Ideally I’d love to go all the way and look at badminton as a future goal.
