Working at a racing stable as an assistant trainer; main responsibilities include the running of the yard, managing up to 50 members of staff, and most importantly the health and welfare of the horses, attending and tacking up on race day, and treating minor injuries. the horses. Taking sole charge when the trainer is away for business, multiple times in the year, sometimes up to 3-4 weeks. I have currently been in this position 4+ years. Previously riding racehorses, including young horses. Working as an instructor at a riding school for 4+ years

Assisting the vet on a regular basis, including giving injections, taking x-rays, ultrasound scanning for tendons, scoping, and gelding colts. Sole charge of the equine spa, and swimming of the horses. Working with young horses, and breaking in. Leading a team of up to 50 members of staff. Communicating with vets, farriers, and owners.

Mainly, but not limited to, riding/training and competing dressage and show jumping horses. I have also ridden and trained for endurance racing, and have ridden/exercised horses for flat racing, including youngsters and breaking in.
