My name is Abbie, I live at home with my mum and three brothers. 2 of my brothers have additional needs, so I have spent lots of time caring for them. I am a big animal lover and have the most experience working with horses.
Qualifications

I have a level 3 diploma in equine management, alongside this I also have achieved my bhs stage 2 in lunging and horse care.

Duties of Current Occupation

Riding school- all general yard duties Livery yard- all general yard duties Equine assisted therapy yard- all general yard duties/ assisting with equine therapy. farm park worker- caring for all farm animals, working with children and adults.

Equine Work Experience

I have nearly 6 years of experience working with horses in many different settings. I have also ridden since I was very young, and currently loan a horse who I ride weekly. I’ve worked on different types of yards, with lots of different people. I’ve spent lots of time working with children around animals. I’ve gained lots of experience on the ground and ridden from working in the equine industry. I am a confident rider, I currently loan a horse, who I do like work, flat work and hacking. I am able to jump but haven’t in a while due to my current horse being unable too.

Specialities

I’ve worked with a wide range of horses for 5 years, from foals to stallions. And have worked apart of a large team including leading a team. I have spent lots of time working with children with additional needs as well.

Type of Ride Work

I have done a variety of flat work, jumping and hacking. I currently don’t jump due to my loan horse being unable too.

Competition Details

I have worked on an eventing livery yard, meaning I have gained experience working around these horses. I have not personally competed much myself.
