Qualifications
I am enrolled at Merrist Wood college to begin the Horse Management Level 3 Diploma in September. However, I am also exploring employment options over the summer to ensure I make the best choices for my future career aspirations which involve working within the equestrian industry.
Duties of Current Occupation
Riding for the Disabled at the Horsley branch. Care & welfare of 5 horses & 3 donkeys at a private field in Leatherhead. Duties include all aspects of stable management, riding & exposure to farriers, physios & dentists etc.
Equine Work Experience
Riding since 9 years old & have regular weekly lessons at Tandridge Priory riding school. I volunteered for RDA & share responsibility for the day to day care of 5 horses and 3 donkeys. I have experience with PSSM, arthritis, sweet itch, mud fever etc.
Specialities
Worked with geldings and mares. Worked with disabled riders. Involved in daily turnout of geldings at a private field. Have also turned out mares & geldings in riding schools.
Type of Ride Work
I only participate in flatwork but have ridden hunters, jumpers, ex-race, cross country, trail, dressage and western style horses.
