I have around eight years’ riding experience, predominantly English (seven years) with one year of Western riding. Although I do not yet hold formal qualifications, I ride at approximately BHS Stage Two level and am hoping to work towards my Stage One Ride and Care in the new year. I had a three-year break from riding while at university, but have recently returned to riding, including hacking out on Dartmoor. I am confident at all paces, both in the school and out hacking. At my first riding school I regularly groomed, tacked up, rugged, poo-picked, and took horses in and out, so I am comfortable with basic yard duties, even if I am a little out of practice. I am confident and calm handling horses, a quick learner, and very keen to develop my skills and gain qualifications. I am very passionate about horses, quiet and gentle in my approach, and hardworking. I tend to put my head down and get on with whatever needs doing, and I am eager to learn and progress in a stable environment.
