Equine Work Experience

Having ridden from the age of 7 I started working with horses when I was 15 in Cape Town South Africa where I taught children and took tourists on beach rides.

I came to the UK in 2003 and started off as a groom. I quickly progressed to head girl and then moved onto becoming yard manager and also having my own livery yard.

I have mostly been involved in dressage but am equally experienced in other disciplines.

I have had my own horses and backed both both of them myself. I love the classical breeds and foreign breeds and seeing what they can do against all the warmbloods and sports horses.

At the moment I have a live in job as well as my full time job where I care for my land ladies two dressage horses and one broodmare and foal. It is a sole care role and I am responsible for all duties.

For the last 4.5 years I have been manager and buyer of a large Equine store so am experienced with all feeds, supplements and products as well as managing staff and all suppliers.

Specialities

I am happy working alone or in a team. I enjoy training younger grooms on how horses should be cared for correctly.

I am physically fit and very strong for a woman so am confident with stallions and big horses. My knowledge on feeding horses is extremely good as well as supplements and veterinary care.

I am friendly, bubbly, well spoken and well dressed and take pride in my work.

Type of Ride Work

I am happy schooling and hacking out but a riding role is not essential

Competition Details

I am happy to help out at competitions but would prefer a stay at home role.
