Duties of Current Occupation

In previous roles, I cared for competition horses, completed all yard duties, carried out night checks, gave medication, followed vet and rehab plans, and maintained high welfare standards with strong attention to detail.

Equine Work Experience

I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of horses, including competition horses, foals, stallions, and fresh or nervous horses. I am confident handling horses safely on the ground and understand the importance of calm, consistent care.

My experience includes all general yard duties such as mucking out, feeding, grooming, turnout, rug changes, tack cleaning, and maintaining high standards of yard cleanliness and organisation. I have also supported horses with groundwork, exercise routines, rehabilitation programmes, and daily care plans.

I have experience carrying out night checks, administering medication, and following veterinary instructions carefully to support horse health, recovery, and overall welfare. I am reliable, hardworking, and have a strong eye for detail, always aiming to provide the best possible care for both horses and the wider yard.

Specialities

I have experience handling foals and stallions with patience, confidence, and care. I understand the importance of calm, consistent handling, maintaining routines, and always putting safety and horse welfare first.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden in previous roles as part of daily yard routines and am most confident with flatwork. I have also hacked, jumped when required, and ridden young green horses, helping them gain confidence and progress in their education.

Competition Details

Calm, quiet & understanding person with a confident, capable approach to horses. Experienced handling competition fit horses, including those that are sharp, fresh or nervous. I have also assisted at shows but I don’t compete myself
