Qualifications

I have completed a foundation level 3 first year deploma in equine at Plumpton college. Reason for the one year is because I chose working more valuable to me and would gain much more experience out on the job. I have also got all my gcses.

Duties of Current Occupation

I currently muck out 15 horses am and pm on a daily basis as well as the basic care for the horses. In charge of everything that happens on livery side as well as helping along side fellow groom on a show jumpers yard. Including clipping, lunging etc

Equine Work Experience

I have been working on a professional yard since March and have learnt a lot working in the job as well as keeping my standards as high as possible, making sure I’m efficient on timing etc. I have only done slight work on the showjumping side as in clipping and plaiting as well as making sure the horses are in great condition. I have also worked on private run yards and made sure again I was efficient and making sure the yard was run how the owner wanted and that livery’s were happy with it.

Specialities

I have experience running a livery yard with 15 horses daily am and pm, being in control of the horses necessities and basic care of their well-being, but also having a high standard when doing yard jobs including mucking out, keeping the yard tidy and making sure the livery’s are happy and resolving any issues. I can plait to a basic but very willing to learn, can clip, lunge, ride and get a horse ready for shows etc. I have also worked previously on riding schools and private run yards.

Type of Ride Work

I have previously ridden a variety of horses from riding school horses to competition horses on the flat, I have been xc schooling multiple times and been to unaffiliated shows and dressage. I’m not the greatest fan with jumping but would be happy to keep progressing as my confidence grows within that aspect. I enjoy more of the care side but as well as being able to hack and school from time to time.
