Duties of Current Occupation

Part-time jobs at livery and competition yards - responsible for daily tasks such as feeding, mucking out, bandaging, turning horses out and bringing them back in, lunging, assisting vets and farriers, and general yard maintenance.

Equine Work Experience

I started with a horse share (taking care of a lovely mare for almost 10 years) - hacking, some showjumping competitions, cleaning tack, lunging, grooming, medical care etc. and taking care of her foal one summer. I've also had a few part-time jobs at livery yards where I was responsible for daily tasks such as feeding, mucking out, health monitoring, bandaging, turning horses out and bringing them back in, lunging, helping at competitions, assisting vets and farriers, and general yard maintenance. I've also worked in a large equestrian center during international showjumping competitions, done placements in equine hospitals and a placement at a racehorse stud farm which allowed me to gain more experience in handling of foals.
