Qualifications
Bags of experience, common sense and an ability to listen and crack on with the jobs at hand. Teach lessons daily with different levels of rider and horse. Also accompanied and coached adults and children to competions, arena hire etc
Duties of Current Occupation
Previous job- livery yard manager which then progressed into General Manager of a large riding school with 2 sites + livery. Managing a large team and overseeing all aspects of the buisness. Riding, teaching liveries, and riding school clients.
Equine Work Experience
I have just finshed working at my current stabels after 4 1/2 years. As stated above i started in the position as livery yard manager and then progressed to general manager of the buisness as a whole - A riding school with a private livery yard and 2 separate sites. (one for arena riding and one for hacking) Overseeing a large team of staff and horses. I have worked at a large racing yard in Epsom. My role was 4 days a week to include managing the yard on Sundays. I worked and trained at a lovely dressage yard in Kent caring/riding competition horses. I also worked at a small 5 star (mainly dressage) livery yard for 2 years riding and grooming, this started as part time which then resulted in a permanent full time position. I worked at a wonderful livery yard in Epsom which I enjoyed very much. All the usual yard duties, riding etc. I started this position as groom and left as manager.
Specialities
I am looking for a live out position in the Guildford/Surrey area.
I am a quiet and effective rider, friendly, hard working and a happy person.
I have dedicated much of my time to flat work but still enjoy the odd jump.
I hold a full driving licence. I have a good work ethic, i'm never late, sick or sorry. Able to manage a team of staff and horses ensuring all aspects of the business run smoothly including the associated paper work e.g risk assessments, farrier vets, staff inductions etc
Type of Ride Work
I am a pro active rider and enjoy flat work, hacking, and a bit of jumping. I find bringing on young/green horses rewarding and i work hard to achieve good relationships with the horses in my care.
